Scorpio

Whenever people talk about Scorpio horoscope, they will always emphasis on a few point
  1. People born under Scorpio sign is resentful. They will remember who is bad to them and will plot for a vengeance.
  2. Scorpio people is mysterious. Many people cannot read the mind of Scorpio or understand what they are doing.
  3. Scorpio people like to control. Control on the situation or environment.
  4. Scorpio lover is passionate. They are always the people that will be sacrificing for the love one and get hurt in the process.
I am born under Scorpio sign.

While I do have good memory of people that is bad to me, I tend to forgive them over their mistake most of the time. Exception is some special case that do not deserve my pardon. But even to those special case, I never plot for any revenge. I rather believe karma will punish them.

Scorpio people like to be mysterious? well I kind of disagree this as I feel I want my friend to understand me more rather then stay mysterious to them. But I guess I am mysterious to them as most do not seems understand why I can spend so many $$$ for food. And why I can go to Bangkok on September when I just got fired from my job....

Even some friends that is close to me fail to understand me lots of time. Did I become mysterious without me noticing?

Scorpio like to control, for this I agree on some case I am a person like this. I want to control a lot of thing and when I can't do it I kind of feel anger and frustrated.

As for the saying that Scorpio is a passionate lover, I agree on this. because for love a lot of thing I can give up. And can still love a person even after 10 years or more....

Anyway, the main point is today is 31st October. It means that 15 November is coming. And this year the birthday celebration will be at Phuket. Although I will come back a day before 15 November. But I still look forward for this trip. (^___^)

2 movie, a new job and a tiring week....

2 movie, a new job and a tiring week....

This conclude what happen to me lately....

I start working at new office this week. Near Bukit Nanas KL Tower.
Quite a fun place to work. There is a Friday Afternoon Market that is like Pasar Malam every Friday afternoon. Plus quite a nice view too.

Also watch 2 movie Love U U, and Real Steel.

Love U U is a movie I wish to watch since watching the trailer and the main theme song, Love U U by JJ Lin

Better then my expectation. A few comment though, since this is a sequel to Summer Holiday, 夏日么么茶, I was expecting nice ocean scenery with maybe snorkeling etc like Summer Holiday. However this time they did not show too much on the beauty of the island. Lets hope it still bring tourist to visit after watching this movie.

The other movie Real Steel, is not a movie I interested to watch at the begin. A movie about a boxer with a bit of twist, the boxer become a robot. Feel like it will be Rocky copy cat. However the movie turnout to be really nice. I would say it combine AI (Artificial Intelligence) + Rocky + Sea Biscuit.

The director did a good job to keep the audience entertain throughout the movie. And since the publisher of this movie is Steven Spielberg, I notice a lot of similarities with Steven style of telling a story. It normally involve a kid that is naive and interesting to watch as it communicate with something that is beyond this real world. Sometimes it is ET, Alien, Dinosaur, and in this movie, it is a Boxing Robot.

So that is all the update of my life recently.

Till I have mood to write again.....

Bangkok Trip Day 5

Pre Bangkok Trip | Bangkok Day 1 | Bangkok Trip Day 2 - Jatujak Weekend Market | Bangkok Trip Day 2 - Dinner at the Chao Phraya River | Bangkok Trip Day 3 - Asian Herb Association | Bangkok Trip Day 3 - Central World & Banyan Tree | Bangkok Trip Day 4 - Platinum Fashion and Big C | Bangkok Trip Day 4 - Mango Tango | Bangkok Trip Day 5

Last day at Bangkok and since my flight is at 3pm, there isn't much time for me to go anywhere. Plus I have used most of the bahts that I exchange earlier in Malaysia. So I just spent some time to enjoy the jacuzzi for one last time and then check out.

A foreign tourist having last minute romance with his Thai girlfriend before boarding. They kiss a few times too.

Since I am very early to get my boarding pass, I can choose the seating place. I ask for window seat and this prove to be a wise choice later.

First time I see rainbow from a plane. I guess I am really lucky. (^__^)

The airplane meal. Again the taste is bad. The only good thing I can comment is the meal is warm when serve.

The cake packaging is fully stretched due to the difference in air pressure. I wonder if I hit it hard, will the plastic bag explode and make a loud "POP" sound. A tempting mischievous idea. But if I do it, I will get arrest and mistaken as terrorist that try to hijack the plane. XD

The Campbells Tomato Juice. Yummy. (^__^)

The Land of Cloud. It feel like I can step on the cloud as earth and look up to the sky. This is also the photo I love the most from my Bangkok trip.

When I prepare to take luggage at KLIA, I notice a big group of  Japanese student still wearing their school uniform. Kawaii neh. Real sailor uniform school girl. Sugoi. I kinda of want to ask to take photo with them. But I am too shy. (*^_^*)

It really surprise me coz normal school trip will not be oversea trip. I guess the Japanese student is very rich to be able to have an oversea trip for whole school. It really looks like whole school of people is there.

And the following photo is all my shopping from Bangkok

The photo below is the most important things to get here. First the handbag is purchased at a shop called "Naraya". There is a lot of chain retail shop at Bangkok such as at Central World etc. These handbag is really cheap.
The toothpaste like thing is call CounterPain. For older people that have muscle pain after sport, can apply this to the skin.
The green can beside is the umm... I don't know what it is called in Thai. ><
But basically it relief mosquito bite and is very effective.

The red and chocolate box is Pocky. Chocolate stick that is tasty and cheap. Nice snack.
Those at the bottom is the seaweed. Get some smaller packet at 7Eleven and try first. If you like it then can get more of it. I love it. Thus I bought a lot.

The trendy T-Shirt that can be bought at 150baht to 180baht. It can go cheaper if you buy in bulk.

(Ps: Since got a lot of people browse my Bangkok trip post, I will add some tips on what to buy at Bangkok)
(Note : Other good things for purchase here is those daily skin care, hygiene product at Boots and Skin Buffet. It is kinda of like Bodyshop, where there is a lot of in house natural product for sale. Alot of my friend love the butter oil that one can use in office to keep the hand smooth)

Destination for the Night :  Mango Tango

How to get there:
Take BTS to Siam BTS station, then ask the ticket seller on how to go Siam Square or Soi 5

The evening plan is a mess. I was hoping to go Som Tum Nua => Mango Tango => Lebua at Baiyoke Sky Hotel => Siam Paragon. But due to my shopping spree at Platinum Fashion Mall and Big C, I need the night to pack my luggage. XD

Anyway, I still need to eat, right? So Som Tum Nua first. This shop is a recommended Thai food shop. A lot of blogger will visit here during their Bangkok trip. I was looking forward for the meal here but is disappointed.

The shop is close with the above notice put on the gate. Although I do not understand Thai language, but I guess they mention "Due to some circumstances, we will be close for a day and will continue operation as normal the next day". But tomorrow I will be flying back to Malaysia...

Mango Tango is very near Som Tam Nua. Just a stone throw distance. The shop specialize in Mango desserts. However it have very limited seating place. If you travel with a group more then 6 person, they won't be any table available to serve you. There is other branch available. So you can visit those branch if you are interested to try.

Both the mango that I order is recommended dish by the waiter. The Mango taste is sweet and nice. Unlike Malaysia Mango that is sour most of the time.

After the meal, I have a short walk around Siam Square. Siam Square is very near the famous Chulalongkorn University. So a lot of youngster from the university like to hang around in this area. You can find many trendy shop. In my last visit, I remember there is a shop that sell teddy bear clothes. Yes clothes for your cute teddy bear. I forget where exactly is the shop and thus not able to take the shop photo.

Miss Puke Thai Massage. After a glance on the "quality" of girl sitting in front of the shop look like, I understand why this shop is call Miss Puke. I want to puke.....

A cute shop with a cute name. "To Sit". I dun know is it have other meaning in Thai language but it sure look nice and make me want to sit inside and have a cup of coffee. Too bad I am too full with mango now. After back to KL, a Thai friend just tell me that this is a pub and is quite nice.

Baiyoke Sky Hotel that I hope to visit next time when I come Bangkok.

Siam Paragon, that I pass by many times but did not go in to shop. Well it sell classy things that is not for me anyway. There is also lots of nice food and food court inside. For those interested, Siam Paragon and Siam Center is right next to Siam BTS Station.

I went back to hotel early to start pack my things and just have some simple road side grill food later.

Edit on 11 July 2012 - This post is the most popular post for my blog. I hope everyone found it useful when they plan for their trip. If any question can ask at comment.

Destination for the day :  Platinum Fashion Mall and Big C

How to get there:  Take BTS to Chit lom BTS station(The BTS station on the left of the map above), then walk towards direction of Central World Plaza but do not go in. You can easily get lost if you go into Central World Plaza. Walk on the roadside between Central World and Gaysorn. On the way near Central World, you will pass 2 shrine, one is for pray for Love. Also take note of the Big C that is opposite of Central World. Continue your journey for another 5 minute and you will cross the river. Once you cross it, turn left on the junction. Platinum Fashion Mall is near here.
Or just get the taxi to avoid walking too much.

Today is the last full day I have in Bangkok. Must shop for whatever left that I need to bring home. So off to another important shopping location Platinum Fashion Mall. Some back ground about this mall, why everyone that come Bangkok now will include this location for shopping destination? Because it is a wholesale shopping mall. Even the seller from Jatujak get their wares from this mall. The principle of this mall is "One item, retail price. 3 item and above is wholesale price"

So if you can find a group of person to shop with you, you can get very good deal for all item you bought here.

Man Utd Scooter. I feel want to smash the glass and burn this scooter. ( I am MU HATER)

On the way to Platinum Fashion mall I spent some time to pray for "LOVE" at the shrine. Warning thou, there seems to be some suspicious guy that keep on promote this "Happy Buddha" and ask me to go pray at the buddha there. Keep say the buddha is only open once in a month and today is "the lucky day" it open. I feel very suspicious so make up a story that need to met my friend at  Platinum Fashion Mall. Becareful of con artist.

While crossing the river, I see this billboard. X Japan concert in Bangkok on 8 Nov. WOW!!!!
Never know Bangkok have that many X Japan fans. Until they include this place for their world tour.

I notice a Taiwan girl also take the photo in front of me. I guess she will be blogging or facebooking  about this too. XD

Wonder why I know she is from Taiwan?

Because she and her friends not sure how to go Platinum Fashion Mall. I ask them to follow me, since I am going the same place. Be friendly when you travel, and you will know more friends. (^___^)

Platinum Fashion Mall have 6 floor of shop and another condominium tower. At the 6th floor, there is a big food court that have many Thailand street food for sale. You can have your meal there as the sanitation is much better compare to the road side stall. Take note that the stall at food court do not accept cash. You need to go counter to purchase a card and then swipe the card at the stall to pay. The value of your card vary depend on how much you load the money in it. You get the balance refund when you return the card.

Some cute gift that I hope to bring home. But my wallet do not allow me do that. It is at 5th floor. So visit there if you want.

Shopping at Platinum Mall is much like Jatujak, anything you see and you feel like it, just buy it first. The shop location is like a maze. Very hard to come back later and purchase.

On the way back to Chit Lom BTS station, I stop at Big C to do some groceries purchase. Big C is similar to Carrefour or Tesco. So you can get your tomyam noodles, Tao Kae Noi seaweed, Pocky chocolate stick, those medicine for muscle ache etc here. Take note if you purchase more then 2000 bahts in a single receipt, you can get form for VATS return. But you need to bring along your passport.

The Central World have open but the main entrance is still under rebuilding.

A cute gift shop that I pass by o the way. Feel want that cat toy and my favourite Totoro. Other then Uniqlo, there is Isetan, Kinokuniya, and Naraya here too.

Destination for the night :   Romsai Restaurant
Banyan Tree Bangkok
21/100 South Sathon Road
Sathon, Bangkok 10120
Thailand
Tel: +66 2 679 1200

How to get there:
Take MRT to Lumpini MRT station, then use Exit 2 and take taxi.
Or you can try walk about 5 minutes to the hotel.

For dinner tonight, it will be buffet meal at Romsai Restaurant, Banyan Tree Hotel. The price per person is 1200 bahts but with HSBC Platinum Card promo, we can get a buy 1 free 1 deal. (Note: This promo only during September. Now have ended.)

A funny roadsign. Wireless Road. I wonder is it you get free WIFI on this road?
Take note that Banyan Tree hotel is at Sathon Road so we need to use Exit 2. Also here use to be the nearest station to go to the famous Suan Lum Night Bazaar. But now the bazaar is closed. Not sure where it move to or when it will reopen.

After this nice dinner, we plan to enjoy Bangkok night scenery at the top floor Vertigo Bar in Banyan Tree. But the rain started after we finish dinner. Thus we have to skip the plan.

A photo from Banyan Tree website that show the scenery from Vertigo Bar....
