7 Deadly Sins - Greed (Avarice)

According to Christian, there is 7 Deadly sin, wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony.
These sins is the original sins of human.

But I am not going to dwell further into Christian teaching. I just wish to share about Greed.

Most human search for wealth, fame, power and other luxury material. Since my colleage time, I have seen peers of my age have this greed. They can say RM2000 is not enough for them to spent each month. A fresh graduate salary normally is RM1500 - RM1800 that time. They can spent RM600 at saloon for their hair (Treatment, perm etc).

Due to these greed, they often become prey to swindler. Swindler will show them a high profit return scheme that can generate 5 figure income to them. One common tactic used is MLM. Multi Level Marketing. The name can be manipulate or change a lot but the basic idea is still the same. Such as,
1. You need to pay a big amount of money to join.
2. You will get an item/product that have same value with what you are paying to join. And when you want to leave this business, you can sell your item/product.
3. When they start the talk, they will tell you how nice and good their product is and that it really worth the money you pay.
4. Now this part is the most important and what makes these kind of business heading wrong direction. Instead of recruiting you to help sell their "good" item/product. They are actually asking you to help recruit more people and join them under you as your subordinate.
5. The profit payout is also not based on how many product/goods you are selling but is based on how many new people you able to recruit to work under you.

If you cannot see thru the swindler tactic, then try recognize these common phrase used.
1. You have spent RMXX,000, and study so much for your degree. Yet when you start work, you can only make RM1500 - Rm1800. How long does it take to pay the education loan. And when will you able to save enough money for House?
2. See this Miss A, she is still college student but is earning 20k a month.
3. We are not direct sales. We are MLM
4. You are the boss of your business.
5. You can work part time and it will not use too much time.

Most people who join these kind of things have no idea what are they doing. Direct sales that most people feel is wrong is totally opposite. True or Real Direct Sales will involve product that you really can sell to other people. A product that people really buy it. And thus the profit that you gain is actually profit from selling the product.

MLM or other fast profit scheme have a product that sound like very great. But if you really try to sell this product, you won't be able to do it. This product also may not generate enough profit to actually cover amount of profit you gain. Thus if you are smart, you should ask why am I making so many profit and what did the company gain from this.

The truth is you just become a con artist by tricking other to join you and work under you. As more people join under you, their joining fee is travel up to reach you and others that is above you. And the profit is seen. Problem arise when this kind of recruiting grow to a stage where the bottom level is not able to recruit more people to join in and pay the profit to those at higher level. And so the whole business model fail.

I can continue to explain more on how these kind of fast profit scheme is design to fail but that is not the whole point.

The main reason why we fall to easy con tactic like this is because we are greedy. We wish to earn money fast with little effort. This world is not as simple as it seems. And no one will give you money to earn if you did not in turn help them earn more money.

p/s: I just meet a friend from facebook. this friend is inside such a fast earning profit scheme. And is trying to recruit me. Feel sad to see this as I have seen many more people done this before.

Same is human, same have brain but so different....

My job have let me communicate with many different kind of person from various culture and background. And because of that I find that this world have a variety of people that we can encounter. We need to always open our mind and heart accept them. Trust me some of the weirdos I meet is really beyond imagination of normal human. I will choose the most weirdos to talk about.

1. My job required me to work on public holiday too. And beside the usual OT claim that we can get for working on public holiday, we also have a free lunch meal. Normally this meal is KFC Snack Plate (2pc fried chicken, 1 Bread Bun, 1 Coleslaw, 1 Whipped Potato). And something happen on one day like this.

A colleague of mine take his box of KFC and have his lunch meal. But when he open the box, he notice that there isn't any bread bun in it. So he message the team lead that in charge for buying the lunch meal.
Col : Hi
Lead : Hi
Col : My KFC is missing one bun. Why?
Lead : (How I know why? Idiot) Really. I am not sure. Maybe if KFC shop forget to put in it.
Col : How can? You did not check it?
Lead : (I pack more then 20 pack of KFC. Should I open and check each box?) I just count the number of box.
Col : Since this time I have less one bun, next time you need to give me one more KFC fried chicken.
Lead : (Damn you. You so smart then next time I let you get the KFC. You try ask for that one more KFC Fried Chicken.)

Those in bracket is what in the Lead mind when my colleague say that to her.


2. This 2nd weirdos is another superb weirdos. When he started to work, we taught he is a very hardworking diligent worker. Because we always see him looking at the pc monitor. But very fast I know he is not. He sit 3 places from me and thus I can see his PC monitor too. And I find that even when the PC monitor screen have change to the screensaver that show my company logo, he can still continue to stare at the monitor. So we all came to conclusion that he mastered the lost technique of sleeping without closing his eyes.


3. Another I do not know you will categorize him as weirdo or bastard. But for me, I sure can't accept him with an open heart. You see our company have provided a coffee vending machine to the employee and we only need to pay 10 cents for it. So one day this Mr B go and buy the coffee but he notice the coffee taste is very weird. However he do not want to waste the 10 cents he pay for it. Thus he give this coffee as a gift to another colleague. That colleague of course do not know and drink it. Why I call Mr B bastard? He know the coffee taste weird and he has taste the coffee. But just because he do not want to waste that 10cents he give to other ppl.


4. Warning for this 4th weirdos because it is not something you should read before or right after a meal. The 4th weirdos is a girl with long hair. Every morning she will come to the office and comb her hair. However she have dandruff problem. So whenever she comb her hair, these dandruff will fall on her office table. She will look around and make sure no one is looking at her direction. Then pick up the dandruff from the table and eat it.



There is a lot more weird people that I have meet. These are just some that I feel a normal person can never imagine. Btw all of them is from my ex-company. I no longer faced them. XD

Spring has finally arrived?!?!?!

Has spring finally arrived? Has the God finally answer my prayers for a GF?

Very suddenly I find myself have 2 date with 2 different girl next week. One I have gone out to have dinner before. Another is never meet before and only chat in Facebook. Btw, both is cute and pretty in their way. I suddenly feel spring has arrived. And I am scared. Nightmare or curse for me?

These few days I feel so abnormal. Like some bad omen. I suddenly dream of something very unusual and I still remember the dream after I wake up.

One is I become one of the survivor in post apocalyptic nuclear war. I travel alone to a village that is occupy by gang lord. The leader control the water source and village must obey him in order to have water for survival. When I arrive, the leader is astonished by my ability to survive in the wastelands. He wish for me to join him and be his henchmen. I try to leave and is attack by the gang. They taught I will surrender because I am alone and badly outnumbered by them. I did not because I still own some pre-nuclear war weaponry. As I use my plasma gun to kill the bandit one by one. The leader is scared and run to hide in his bunker. I chase and kill him. I also found out how he control the water source. I let the villager have the water source control again. The villagers thanks me and wishes me to stay but I decline. I headed to wastelands alone. Without any company.

That is my dream. Weird?

Emm.. I guess next time coz I feel I need to sleep now.

Stressed is desserts?

Someone told me b4 that stressed is desserts spell backward. Easy to say when you are not really stressed.

Right now I feel very stressed. Feel like everything I am doing is wrong. Is not correct. But a lot of these thing is cause by other people. Like they want me to do this or that their way. And more important is when I try to fix it, more problem arise.

I feel I need a break. Need a holiday.

My ex-girlfriend use to ask me. Why I love to see pretty girl with good body shape. Set them as handphone wall paper and office pc wallpaper. But I still choose her. I say something similar to this song lyric to her. I like to see pretty girl but I love you. Damn I am so smart with words that time. Hahaha.....

Sometime my close friend that really care for me tell me, "Don't set too high standard for your future spouse. Think of yourself. Don't think of Rainie Yang (楊丞琳), Jeon Ji-hyun (全智賢) as you gf requirement. But really, I know I am not that handsome. And even though I wish for a beauty to be my future spouse, but I really feel that my future spouse should be someone I care and feel comfortable to be with. The kind of feeling that when she smile will brighten up your day. The kind of person that you hope when you wake up, she is sleeping right beside you. And that is all I wish for. Yet this seems to be so hard to achieve.

Love journey for me is really not smooth trip. And I am kind of lost now....

Career wise. By chinese saying, when your love luck is not good, you should have better luck at other place, but I feel my career is moving to a dark road with a lot of trap and thorns. Going to change my boss soon, and from the news I heard, she is not such a nice person to work with. haiz...
