Eat Pray Love - Tokyo Trip Day 6 - Akihabara

Tokyo Trip - Eat Pray Love - Day 6 - Ueno

Plan for the day : Ueno - Akihabara - Roppongi.

Early morning visit Ueno Zoo and walk Ueno area
Afternoon visit Akihabara area and be otaku for a day,
Night visit Roppongi and go up Mori Tower to view the night scenery of Tokyo.

Afternoon is visit Akihabara. From my research, a Malaysian that study in Tokyo before advise me to visit Akihabara on Sunday. Because that is the most happening day with Otaku flooding the street in their cosplay costume. Thus, I follow his advise and choose this day to visit Akihabara

AKB48 is the hottest group in Japan now. Idolized by boys and girls. I am not one of their fans thus I did not went inside. But I can see parent bring their children to visit this cafe.

This is the picture of inside that I can take. After take this picture the guard warn me not to take the photo. Too bad.....

Gundam Cafe is another attraction here. It is smaller compare to the Gundam Cafe at Odaiba but still a big attraction for the Gundam fans

Haro, the pet that always follow Lacus Clyne around in Gundam Seeds (It should be pink color. No idea why it is green here).

Both cafe is next to each other. and is right below the JR train railway.Good use of space in Tokyo.

Next is look for a maid cafe for some coffee and snack. I am starving since I did not have any lunch meal for the day.

Maid that dress like this is everywhere to attract customer to their cafe. But all of these cafe is not at ground floor. You will need to take lift to reach the cafe. And don't trust the advertisement board look. It is more reliable to trust the look of the girl that ask you to go to their cafe. As you can see the board show girl more cute compare to the girl that is standing in front and distributing pamphlet.

Akihabara main road is close on Sunday. So you can sleep at middle of the road. But damn so many people around here and WHERE are those COSPLAY COSTUME..... (>_<)

After some walk, I am stopped by a school girl maid dress. And although I don't understand what she is trying to say and she don't understand what I am trying to tell her, but we manage to understand each other and she show me the way to her cafe. But as she bring me further away from main road into some back street lane. I start to get worried. But luckily I notice a few japanese guy up in front that looks more like otaku and not like yakuza.

I the end I am at the cafe. And kind of get rob. Because the standard here is no photo shot with the maid. (>_<)

But the maid here say I can take a polaroid photo with a maid here if I choose this 3000 yen menu. (Around RM 120). And this is the best you can get here as every maid cafe here is the same.

And for the one cup of tea, one piece of Mille Crepe cake and the polaroid photo. The maid is very cute though but RM120 is a very expensive price. One good thing though, you can gwiyomi with the maid here and no one will say you are crazy. LOL

Pass by some super decorated car. I wonder how their owner look like. Hard to imagine this.

More maid on the street as the night approach. Most feel so cold with the strong wind blowing. Many interesting shop is not situated at main street. Smaller street such as this contain some hidden gems.
But parent who is bringing their kid, need to keep an eye on them. Some anime shop is selling Hentai. Cartoon pornography. So beware.

One of the interesting shop. 5 floor selling figurine and other anime stuff with the 6th floor showing some art or anime figurine exhibition.

These is mouse pad. And your palm will rest on ...... emm... I will leave it to your imagination.

A Totoro sofa seat. It is so big. I feel an urge to take out my credit card and purchase this. But when I think of how to deliver this back home, I stopped. Self control~!!!!!
